Kingswood Atlanta Homes for Sale in Buckhead

Posted by on Feb 7, 2010 in Around Buckhead, Atlanta Neighborhoods, Buckhead Homes | 0 comments

I live in Kingswood and it’s one of my favorite neighborhoods in Buckhead.  Located right off of West Paces Ferry Road, it’s an idyllic place.  The entire subdivision, is “culdusaced”, which really cuts down on the traffic.  Be careful when you drive through, more than likely there will be kids riding their bikes and people walking their dogs. Here are the Kingswood homes for sale in Buckhead, Atlanta that are currently on the market.  If you would like to see any of the homes on the list, feel free to call me. The search is updated hourly, so check back...

Streets of Buckhead Update

Posted by on Jan 21, 2010 in Around Buckhead, Buckhead Homes | 0 comments

There is a lot of curiosity about the Streets of Buckhead project. Each time I write an article about it, the web traffic to this website spikes. The AJC gave an update on the Streets of Buckhead today. In short, the project needs $200 million to resume construction. Streets of Buckhead developer Ben Carter said Wednesday he is in talks with private investors to raise $200 million to resume work on the stalled luxury retail project. Unable to get a traditional bank loan amid the credit crunch, Carter said he has been seeking private investment money instead — a position many...

Buckhead Community

Buckhead is Atlanta’s most prestigious and exclusive neighborhood. It is known by most Atlanta natives as the “Beverly Hills of the South.” Located approximately 15 miles north of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport you will find the Buckhead community with gorgeous homes situated on lush, well manicured properties. The torch of Atlanta’s architectural reputation has been passed from the demolished homes of Peachtree Road to the grand estates of Buckhead. Do you know where the name “Buckhead” came from? In 1837 Henry Irby founded a general store / tavern situated on...

(Last Modified: September 19, 2011) As a mother of a young child living in Buckhead, it took me a little time to find the best playgrounds in Atlanta. Located in Buckhead, on West Paces Ferry Road, is the Atlanta History Center. We have a family membership and really like everything the museum has to offer. It has extensive exhibits on Civil War history and Atlanta history. The major permanent exhibit, “Metropolitan Frontiers: Atlanta, 1835-2000,” traces Atlanta’s history from the days of the Cherokee Indians and rural pioneer settlements to the present day. Atlanta has had previous names that include Terminus, Marthasville and finally a feminine form of Atlantic, Atlanta. Displays include videos and many photographs,...

Good news for Streets of Buckhead

Posted by on Jun 4, 2009 in Around Buckhead | 4 comments

I reported a couple of months ago that construction at the Streets of Buckhead had ground to a halt. Well we should see the cranes swinging through the Buckhead skyline starting again in July. Ben Carter, the developer of the project, apparently stopped the construction to renegotiate contracts for labor and materials during this down economy. He said he was successful in getting at least $10 million in concessions. There are plenty of super, high-end stores and restaurants committed to the project. Check out this post for plans on this Buckhead area development. I’m very excited...
