Pumpkin patches driving distance from Atlanta

Atlanta’s first morning chill is North Georgia’s invitation to come up and see some spectacular fall colors. It’s a great family trip to take a scenic drive and explore a pumpkin patch. Here are a couple of North Georgia pumpkin patches:


Berry Patch Farms

Located: in Cherokee County

Berry Patch Farms is a popular “pick your own” farm located in Cherokee County located approximately 40 miles from Atlanta, Georgia. This wonderful, 40 acre farm has seasonal picking delights which include blueberries, pumpkins and Christmas trees. A great day trip for the entire family or playgroup. Pack your own lunch, have a picnic on the farm, enjoy a hayride, visit the baby barn yard and the child friendly playground; don’t forget to pick your own pumpkin(s)! Such a fun filled day to spend with family and friends.

There will be lots of picture taking opportunities to capture these precious, unforgettable memories! Be sure to try the homemade apple cider, fried pumpkin pie, boiled peanuts and popcorn.

Burt’s Farm

Located: in Dawsonville

Burt’s Farm is a well-known pick your own farm located in the North Georgia Mountains approximately 75 minutes from Atlanta, Georgia. It’s set in an undeniably breathtaking setting amongst the gorgeous North Georgia Mountains and fall foliage. As you wind up the roads, the sea of orange pumpkins will take your breath away!

Burt’s Farm offers an abundance of multiple varieties of pumpkins along with an unlimited supply of gourds and winter squashes. Perfect for Halloween decorations. Pack your lunch and sit amongst cornstalks ad hay bales. After lunch you must take the hayride that takes you through the winding trail. Burt’s has a general store and offers fresh baked pumpkin pies and pumpkin rolls (yummy), candied popcorn and an abundance of jellies and other delightful goodies.
